Dr. Christopher Payne Visits Niger and Burkina Faso

In brief, it was a two week trip. The primary purpose was to attend the annual meeting of the Board of Directors of the Danja Fistula Center. After the meeting I stayed on and did some surgical cases with our outstanding surgeon, Dr. Itengre Ouedroago. Then Itengre and I flew to the capital of Burkina Faso, Ouagadougou, to do a fact finding trip regarding starting a new fistula center in Burkina Faso. Met with the primary organization currently coordinating fistula care, Fondation Rama, with the chief of Urology at the University Medical School, and with the national minister of health.
